Glen Carliss: Trumpet
Glen Carliss of West Falmouth has been playing the trumpet since he was 10 years old. He was in a successful rock band in the Philadelphia area in the early seventies, then moved to Martha’s Vineyard and played with the Martha’s Vineyard Swing Orchestra from the mid-seventies into the 90’s. When he moved to Falmouth Glen joined Stage Door Canteen and has traveled with the band to Ireland, Chicago, and throughout New England. He is currently studying trumpet performance with Darren Barrett from Berklee College of Music and Jeremy Miloszewicz, a NYC first call lead trumpet player. Glen has been teaching privately for 10 years, concentrating mainly on the methods developed by William Adam.
